In March 2001 Pharmacy 2U was invited to run a pilot on behalf of the NHS to electronify the paper based prescription process. In March 2002 Pharmacy 2U was the first company in the UK to successfully transmit an electronic prescription between the GP, Pharmacy and the Prescription Pricing Authority. It has GP Practices from all over the country sending prescriptions to Pharmacy 2U. It has developed unique procedures and protocols that allow our pharmacists to check the suitability of a medicine for a particular patient and ensure its safe delivery. Patients continue to benefit from home delivery pharmacy with Pharmacy 2U through our electronic Prescription Management Service (ePMS) solution.
